Ka-way, ka-woo, ka-wee! Tonight is the annual Spooky Scouts’ camping trip, and wolf pup Luna can’t contain her excitement. But when the forecast calls for a full moon, her delight turns to dread. For you see, Luna has a secret.

Every full moon, she transforms into something… strange. A creature so beastly and bizarre that she’s sure to give her whole troop the ick! If she doesn’t want to be branded a weirdo, Luna must use all her scouting skills to stop the transformation before it starts. And hopefully in time for s’mores. 

Full of camping adventure and unexpected surprises, Luna’s efforts to hide lead to new discoveries about friendship, bravery and the true Spooky Scout spirit. 

BRAAAINS!

Little Brown Young Readers - Summer 2027

Jessica Levine at Little, Brown Books for Young Readers has acquired BRAAAINS!, in which a young zombie causes a misunderstanding among his human neighbors while searching for his missing dog, Brains, delivering a hilarious lesson about community and first impressions, by Spooky Scouts author-illustrator Kimberly Shrack. The deal for world rights was negotiated by Laurel Symonds at KT Literary, and publication is scheduled for Summer 2027.
